The study examines the use of marine simulator and future perspective; and in parallel to the importance of simulator to the maritime students. Present tools available for the qualification of the maritime students needs to be augmented with the new measures so as to show the quality of the simulator based training. Only through this measures effective and efficient training of the students can be achieved in line with training objectives of the STCW convention. And the main purpose of this study is to determine the level of proficiency of the dek cadets of the VMA Global College and Training Centers, Inc during the academic year 2017-2018. The respondents were the BSMT second year cadets who enrolled during academic year 2017-2018. The findings of the study shows that level of proficiency of the respondents were good in terms of NAV 5 and MARCOM. Thus, researchers recommended that the Maritime dean should make program for the students and to improve the simulator skills of the students.
